BigBand Networks Achieves TL 9000 Certification

Video networking leader awarded telecommunications industry’s most stringent quality control certification

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Jan. 7, 2008— BigBand Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: BBND), today announced that it has been awarded the prestigious telecommunications sector-specific TL 9000 certification. TL 9000 defines a strict set of standards for the design, development, production, installation, and maintenance of telecommunications products, software, hardware or services. BigBand’s TL 9000 certification, including ISO 9001:2000 recognition, is the culmination of an 18-month design and review of internal processes. Its successful completion is a testament to BigBand’s commitment to meet the quality, performance and reliability requirements of its customers.
