BigBand Unveils Industry’s Most Advanced SDV Tool
SVA 4.0 designed to enable advanced monitoring, optimization and planning capabilities to help MSOs quickly add new services while maintaining higher service quality

BigBand Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: BBND), a leader in digital video networking, today announced new features for the industry’s most comprehensive and widely deployed Switched Video Analysis (SVA) tool designed for Switched Digital Video (SDV) networks. The enhanced SVA 4.0 software incorporates improved monitoring, performance and usability features to support large-scale SDV network operations and is the result of BigBand’s extensive experience in supporting its SDV deployments, which today serve more than 33 million homes.
Service providers are using BigBand’s SVA software to monitor utilization and performance of their SDV networks, to track end user experience, to optimize SDV channel lineups, to plan service group and node splits and to identify long-tail content in order to maximize the number of programs that can be carried on their networks.
