BigBand Announces New Executive Lineup
Transition to new CFO Ravi Narula underway

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., March 5, 2010—BigBand Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: BBND), a leader in digital video networking, today announced the appointment of Ravi Narula as chief financial officer. Mr. Narula succeeds Moe Castonguay, who will be returning to the east coast full time. Mr. Castonguay will serve as CFO until May 1, 2010, at which time the company will complete its transition to the new CFO.
Mr. Narula joined BigBand in 2005 and is currently the vice president of finance and worldwide controller. He has also served in other senior financial roles during his tenure at BigBand, including chief accounting officer. Mr. Narula was instrumental in taking the company public and building the financial operations team. Prior to joining BigBand, he was director of financial governance at Borland Software and served in a number of senior financial roles at Deloitte & Touche. Mr. Narula has over 16 years of experience in financial accounting and is a chartered accountant.
