BigBand Showcases Converged And Next-Generation IP Video Delivery At CableLabs® Winter Conference
BigBand Networks will demonstrate the latest advances in helping service providers achieve a graceful migration path to tomorrow's converged network at the CableLabs® Winter Conference.
February 2, 2010
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — BigBand Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: BBND), a leader in digital video networking, will demonstrate the latest advances in helping service providers achieve a graceful migration path to tomorrow's converged network at the CableLabs® Winter Conference, Feb. 7-10, 2010, in Denver, CO.
Demonstrations will include:
- Efficient delivery of IP video to multiple screen and devices leveraging existing network infrastructure:
- CVEx™ Converged Video Exchange is an intelligent software control plane that helps service providers achieve a graceful migration path to tomorrow's converged network with reliable and efficient video delivery, unifying the way that service providers deliver and manage both RF and IP-based video services across the network edge.
- BigBand's vIP PASS™, a cost effective video solution designed to help service providers capitalize on existing infrastructure with an easy delivery of video services to a broad range of IP devices via DOCSIS 3.0 modems that saves on infrastructure expense, will be showcased with leading chipset, cable modem, and digital rights management technology providers.
- QAM innovation that solves bandwidth needs at the edge of the network and integrates with video delivery platforms:
- The industry's most widely deployed universal edge QAM platform, which includes BigBand's double density BEQ™6200 8:1 QAM and BEQ™6000 QAM, provides service providers the capacity required for advanced video and data services when rack space is at a premium. BigBand's edge QAM platforms offer the lowest cost of ownership and TL9000 certification.
- Comprehensive management tools that optimize today's networks and enhance SDV resources:
- BigBand's next-generation Switched Video Analysis (SVA) tool that operationalizes SDV infrastructure, providing enhanced bandwidth insight to support the migration to next generation IP networks. The comprehensive analysis tool also conducts "what if" analysis and reporting capabilities and works in concert with CVEx to help manage network resources across the converged network edge.
The CableLabs Winter conference 2010 is being held in the Hyatt Regency at Colorado Convention Center, Denver, CO.
