Bright House Selects BigBand Networks For Its Switched Digital Video Deployments
Six of the top 10 cable operators, have deployed, or are in the process of deploying BigBand’s SDV, surpassing more than 16 million households passed

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Sept. 16, 2008—BigBand Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: BBND), a leading innovator in digital video networking, today announced that Bright House Networks (BHN) has completed installation of the first phase of its switched digital video solution (SDV) in Orlando, Florida. BHN has also begun deployment of BigBand SDV in Tampa, Florida and Indianapolis, Indiana. BigBand also announced that its switched digital video solution is now deployed or being deployed to pass more than 16 million households.

With the addition of BHN, BigBand has been selected to provide its SDV solution to the top six MSOs in the country today. The wealth of experience that BigBand has accumulated over these deployments enables the company’s professional services team to install and initiate the turn up of a switched digital video system in 90 days or fewer.
